First pic is the backing fabric and some of the fabric that will be used for the binding. I had the backing in my stash. It's perfect because 1. I didnt have to buy more, I used what I have 2. It has hibiscus flowers on it, Sara was born in Hawaii and 3. Its a busy print so you cant see my mistakes as well... Hopefully there wont be many hang ups in it. I plan to use my embroidery machine to do most of the quilting on it for me.
Next is a small part of the quilt where I did paper piecing for her name. Enjoyed doing that as well. It was tricky tryin to encorporate it into the quilt but I made it work. This is a scrappy quilt and for the most part not measured to perfection. which is great for me, Even when I do cut perfectly I still have trouble makin it all straight. So anyways, Im very happy with it so far!
