Im sooooo excited I can hardly contain myself....lol.... Its done! well except i need to put a label and hanging sleeve on the back. I machine pieced the letters and appliqued the stuff in the middle. I used my embroidery machine to make the house but not on the fabric, i made it and then sewed to the picture. the suns rays are 3D. i used shiny thread like on joshuas quilt for the clouds and "wind". I hope this displays the joy that sewing and quilting with my janome brings. I would soooo love to win but either way this was fun and will look nice hanging in my sewing room. My first challenge quilt! GO JANOME!!!!!

close up of the middle of the quilt.....

Close up of the birds and the words of what my machine means or does for me....

close up of the letter I and the appliqued heart.

The back, you can see the back fabric i picked and the binding which i think I did even better on this one.....my fingers hurt bad, I need a thimble that I can use and still feel my fingers enough to do it right....

Two books andy got me for my Bday.....

My neighbor just moved and gave me this shelf so i put it over my cuttin table to hold this and that. the wallhanging in the middle i got at good will to use as a pattern. I will be makin my own to put there someday.....

Jenn wanted a pic of my books.

I made this bag for my secret sister at church. it is a water bottle bag. So its just big enough you hold a water bottle. and it can reverse. it also can be used as just a small purse too. i hope she likes it.... andy said my stitchin was soo good that I dont need a new sewing machine.... (note to self: mess up big time on the stitchin of the next project)...lol just kidding, I have a good machine now, just want to major upgrade...........

the same bag just turned

This looks blue on my screen but its actually purple. Im not sure what Im making this into, but its a crocheted piece ive been working on here and there. Its made with chenille yarn. I plan to just keep going with it and plan as I go and see what happens....

Well this is a paper pieced project. Its only like 5*7 inches or so. I really enjoyed doing this and cant wait to make something with more of a picture in it. I tried paper piecing before but it came out all messed up and so i gave up, but this weekend was a sew and quilt festival and i went to it and met a nice couple who taught paper piecing so I thought id give it another try. I am happy I met someone who could teach a easier way to do this......

Close up of the back, i hand stitched the binding in the back, i think i did a pretty good job.....
