Today My friend Monica invited me and another lady to her house to learn to knit. Yea I can knit now. She loaned me her needles couldnt find any on the island and some wool yarn. Here is what Ive done on it so far. Im going to take it out though and cast on 20 instead of 10 and make a washcloth. Once Ive got this down really well, she will teach me how to purl. This was the English method.

ummmm, just curious. . . why are you guys knitting with wool in Hawaii???? Cotton would be so much cooler! Or silk, or rayon, almost anything but wool, that is unless you are making diaper soakers.
not sure, it is what she had. she does make soakers for her son and next baby.
