Sebastian made this Lei, it is made with fresh flowers although they are wilted already but he did an awesome job....... Im soo proud of him.

My Wife the Quilter

My Wife, The Quilter
She learned to quilt on Monday
Her stitches were very fine.
She forgot to thaw out dinner,
So we went out to dine.

She sewed miniatures Tuesday.
She says they are a must.
They really were quite lovely,
But she forgot to dust.

On Wednesday, it was a sampler.
She says the stripping's fun.
What highlights! Oh what shadows!
But the laundry wasn't done.

Her charm quilt was on Thursday,
Green patches, blue and red
Guess she really was engrossed:
She never made the bed

It was wall hangings on Friday,
In colors she adores
But she never seemed to notice,
The crumbs on all the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday!
My wife is now complete.
My wife can quilt the hours away:
The house will still be neat,

Well, it's already Sunday.
I think I'm about to wilt.
I cursed, I raved, I ranted...
The MAID has learned to Quilt!!!!!

Here is my daddys Fathers day gift. It is a wallhanging, which I hope he hangs it up. This thing took me long time. and I really wanted to change it about half way through but couldnt unless I started over. I hope he likes it. I used stippling and stitch in the ditch. Mock binding and label on the back....

Here is my purse, I got to use it today, It feels good knowing I made it. I love my purse my sister made but seeing her make a new purse made me want to try making myself one too. so last night i spent 2 full hours working on this thing. it has three pockets on the inside, one that snaps closed and one of my cell phone and the other for gum. I love this fabric too, it has a oriental feel to it. If I use this fabric for another one, i may put a light brown on the inside instead of blk but I like this alot.

Ha ha, well i know theres NO picture! I went to take a picture of it and the battery was dead! So I have to wait till tomorrow to take pictures of it. Im very happy with it, My own creation using ideas from a bag I had made once. Woohoo!!!!

IM posting this cux its easier than emailin but these are my fabrics I got today for Grandmas quilt, so if you havent gotten yours jenn you can kinda see what I got its all from walmart. the blue turtle one is for sebastains hand, he picked it out so even though its a little dark its only for his hand so I hope it ok. I loved the tea cups so i had to get it, and i will incorporate it somehow.....

OK so I made this to put over emaly's Pics in the hall. I really like it but.........Im frustrated cux I thought I had it centered in the hoop but apparently not. I also dont understand why this couldnt fit in my smaller hoop but it made me use the bigger hoop which frustrated me too. you can still see some of my blue ink pen, i thought i got it out but it reappeared....I plan to make the other kids one too. And one for downstairs saying hurst family.

My latest embroidery project. A clock face. This was soo difficult. I ended up having to split the design but didnt have that capibilites so i had to download free version of embird to do it. I dont think i will do this as a business unless I ever figure out this better. plus it took over two hours to get this done. IM happy with it though.

Here is a picture of it up close. You can see where it didnt quite meet up in the middle but at least its still useuable, just not sellable....

HERE IT IS!!!! Im soo happy to be done with this, this has taken me soo long but here it is.... I so happy with it, Sebastian picked this out of a book and I was lucky enough to find the same colors as the book to use in this amazing bear paw pattern. If you look in the archives you can see the pic of what it is suppose to look like and I think I pulled it off. I did some straight line stitching and some stippling in the big black area and the last blue row too. Andy and I think this is the best ive done so far. Oh and I used mock binding......yippee!!!!!!! now onto more projects....:)

Here are the vases I made mom for Mothers Day. She said she loves them...:)

IM soo excited, I had my first Quilt nite. This is at my house, I picked a pattern and everyone brought their machines and the fabric I told them to get. We made a quilt top. I need to go get pictures of there baby blanket size quilt. We got the squares all made but not together. I had 4 women come, Stephanie didnt bring her machine, she wanted to watch and socialize but she crocheted. I think everyone had fun, Ketas machine messed up on her so she ended up going to buy a new machine. Keta also showed us how to make yarn Lei's so be on the look out for next years Christmas presents.....lol It was fun to share my love of quilting with other women, hadnt ever used her machine so she was very pleased with herself. :)

Today My friend Monica invited me and another lady to her house to learn to knit. Yea I can knit now. She loaned me her needles couldnt find any on the island and some wool yarn. Here is what Ive done on it so far. Im going to take it out though and cast on 20 instead of 10 and make a washcloth. Once Ive got this down really well, she will teach me how to purl. This was the English method.
